Dr. Carladenise Edwards has 30 years of professional experience, from academia to government to healthcare to technology. She currently serves as Miami-Dade County’s Chief Administrative Officer, with a portfolio that includes the Office of Management and Budget, Finance, Audit, Human Resources, Small Business Administration, Procurement, Information Technology, Internal Services, and Tax Collection. She previously served for 12 years as an executive in nonprofit healthcare, including as a chief strategy officer, population health administrator, and chief contracting officer in three different healthcare systems—Henry Ford Health, Providence St. Joseph Health, and Alameda Health System. Serving on the boards or as a strategic advisor for numerous organizations, Dr. Edwards was recognized in 2022 by Modern Healthcare and Becker’s as one of the top women leaders in healthcare. Dr. Edwards received her BA and MS.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania and her PhD from the University of Florida.
